Jet Aviation is set to break ground on a 31,000m2 (334,000ft2) hangar and ramp extension at its completion centre in Basle, Switzerland. Work is due to be finalised by the end of January 2007.
Construction of a new, large hangar, designed to accommodate aircraft up to the size of an Airbus A380, is set to begin next year, with completion earmarked for the second quarter of 2008.
Jet Aviation recently won a contract to outfit a Boeing 757-200 in VIP configuration for an unnamed US customer. It will arrive in Basle late next year, with completion taking about 10 months.
