JetBlue has re-branded its "Even More Legroom" offering to a new suite of products to include early boarding, early access to overhead bin space and expedited security screening at select airports.
The official new suite of products are the "Even More Space" and "Even More Speed" rolled into the broad "Even More" brand.
The carrier has been hinting at enhancements to its more legroom product introduced in 2008 for quite some time. In May of this year JetBlue executives estimated netting more than $100 million in revenue from the even more legroom product, which has a price range from $10-$65 depending on trip length.
Now customers opting to pay an additional charge are allowed early boarding and access to overhead bin space, and a spacious seat with extra legroom in rows one through five and the emergency exit rows of JetBlue's Airbus A320s and the first and emergency exit rows on the carrier's Embraer E-190s.
JetBlue also followed up on previously disclosed plans to offer access to expedited security in 15 of its airports. The priority access is part of the "Even More Speed" offering.
Airports included in the first phase of the new JetBlue expedited security offering are Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Buffalo, NY; Charlotte, NC; Chicago; Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville, FL; Las Vegas; Los Angeles and San Francisco; New York (JFK) and Newark, NJ; Seattle; and Washington, DC (Dulles).
JetBlue expects to roll-out expedited security at its Boston focus city in mid-July "with more destinations expected to be added in the coming months".
