Advanced Aerodynamics & Structures says it is close to receiving its 200th order for its JetCruzer 500 single-turboprop business aircraft. The six-seater aircraft, produced in conjunction with BMW's US subsidiary Designworks, will have a top speed of 300kt (550 km/h) and a range of 2,400km (1,300nm) at an altitude of 32,800ft (10,000m). Its development has been delayed on several occasions due to lack of funding, but the manufacturer says it is now in the final phase of development and testing. The company's order backlog now exceeds $237 million.
