Single-engine fractional aircraft ownership provider JetFly is set to more than double its fleet over the next two years following an order for five EADS Socata TBM 850 and six Pilatus PC-12 turboprops. Luxembourg-based Jetfly is also set to offer twin-engine types for the first time with an order for four Piaggio P180 Avanti IIs, scheduled for delivery in 2008 and 2009. This deal marks the first foray in the European fractional market for the Italian airframer, which has already courted a great deal of success with two Avanti-based programmes in North America.
JetFly operates five TBM 700s/850s and six PC-12s for more than 80 shareowners and says it is facing increasing demand for its programme from customers wanting "an entry-level product into business aviation". The first TBM 850 from the latest order tally will be officially handed over at the show.
