Jetstar Hong Kong has appointed Edward Lau as its chief executive, effective from 18 February.
Lau will join the airline from TNT, where he served for more than a decade, holding senior positions across the company and most recently, managing director for Hong Kong.
He has 35 years of experience in transport, logistics, freight and aviation, and previously worked for Hay Group and Rosenbluth International, says the carrier.
Jetstar Hong Kong plans to launch in mid-2013, subject to regulatory approval, and intends to grow to a fleet of 18 Airbus A320s by 2015.
