The Hong Kong Government Flying Service (GFS) has ordered two new Aero International (Regional) Jetstream 41 multi-purpose patrol aircraft for delivery in 1998, as a replacement for its Raytheon Beechcraft King Air 200Cs. The aircraft will be used mainly in the search-and-rescue (SAR). The $18 million deal includes equipping the J41s with 360 degree AlliedSignal Bendix/King 1500 search radars, FLIR Systems Saphire infra-red imagers and TV cameras.
