Sikorsky firmed up its agreement to build eight UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters for the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) at the show yesterday, when Prince Feisal Ibn Al-Hussein, the RJAF Chief of Air Staff, visited the aircraft on display here.

The eight-aircraft deal will bring the number of Black Hawks in service with the RJAF to 13. Scheduled to enter service in 2006, the aircraft will operate on missions including VIP transportation, EMS, search and rescue and special operations.

"The RJAF has utilised both the Black Hawk and the S-76 for many years," says Jeff Pino, Sikorsky senior vice-president of business development. "We are thrilled with their continued confidence in our flagship aircraft, as well as their willingness to introduce the UH-60 into their special mission units."
