Korean Air's (KAL) aerospace business division has been contracted as a wing part supplier for the Boeing 747-8 programme.
The components KAL will provide include raked wing tips, wing tip extensions and flap track fairings, says the carrier.
KAL will make enough to equip 250 aircraft, says a KAL spokeswoman.
The 747-8 has received 105 orders, according to KAL.
For over 20 years, "KAL has produced the components of the wing and fuselage for the Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 and in addition it has started manufacturing parts for Boeing 747-400s," says KAL aerospace business division executive VP Hang Jin Cho.
