Kaman flew the initial multi-mission SH-2G(A) of an 11-aircraft order for the Royal Australian Navy on 6 January for the first time. The airframes are rebuilt US Navy SH-2s retrofitted with General Electric T700 engines and composite main rotor blades. Deliveries are to start early next year. New mission avionics include Telephonics APS-143B(V)3 radar, Raytheon AAQ-27 forward looking infrared and Elisra AES-210 electronic support measures.
