Kamov has started deliveries of Ka-32T Helix medium-lift helicopters to the Laos air force. The Asian nation has ordered six Mi-32s which will support Mil Mi-8/Mi-17 Hips. Laos and Russia have a defence co-operation agreement, which included the delivery of 12 Mi-17s in 1998/9. The Ka-32s will be based in the capital, Vientiane.
