Investigators have determined that the fire which severely damaged the arrival terminal at Nairobi's main airport was caused by an electrical fault.
The fire on 7 August ravaged the building at Jomo Kenyatta International and caused heavy disruption to flights.
Kenya's presidency states that foul play has been ruled out by a group of independent investigators including the FBI.
"The experts’ reports agree that the fire was an accident resulting from the electric distribution board," it adds in a statement.
Its disclosure follows a meeting between Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta and the country's US ambassador, Robert Godec, in Nairobi.
