Plans to build a spaceport at Australia's Woomera launch base to conduct flights of the Kistler Aerospace K-1 satellite launcher haves been shelved because Kistler has not been able to generate the necessary private funding, most of which was expected to have come from the recession hit Asia region. Kistler had planned to invest $45 million in the project.
