The European Space Agency (ESA) has pledged its backing for Kliper, a reusable, wingless space vehicle, reports agency Itar-Tass. Kliper, which would glide back to Earth with up to seven people on board, is the brainchild of Russian space corporation RKK Energia and is outlined as a successor to the highly successful Soyuz capsule.
It would be used for ferry services to the International Space Station (ISS) or for space tourism.
