KLM has firmed up the first phase of its fleet renewal programme, with a deal for the lease of six Boeing 777-200ERs from International Lease Finance. The aircraft will be delivered on 12-year leases between November 2003 and early 2005, replacing Boeing 747s. The deal includes four reconfirmable leases for additional 777s, plus the extension of leases on 12 Boeing 767s by two years to 2005-2007.
