Russian carrier Kogalym Avia (Kolavia) has taken delivery of the first of four secondhand Tupolev Tu-134s as it expands regional services. The four aircraft, previously operated by CSA Czech Airlines and Malév Hungarian Airlines, join seven Tu-154s that the airline uses to serve communities in the oil-rich Tyumen region of western Siberia. Based in Kogalym, the six-year-old airline is the seventh largest Russian airline in traffic terms, carrying 560,00 passengers last year.
