South Korea's industry is well represented at the show with a number of companies exhibiting under a common banner in Hall 6/B5 in a bid to raise the nation's profile in the aerospace industries.

Some, such as Samsung Electronics, are already household names around the world as suppliers of everyday electrical equipment. Others are not so well known.

One such is Korea Lost Wax, a Seoul-based casting manufacturer which, since 1993, has been a director company of the Korea Aerospace Industries Association.

It supplies turbine air-seals for Pratt &Whitney PW4000s and is an approved supplier to GE Aircraft Engines.

Among other gadgetry on show, Samsung has its range of night vision goggles and other sight-enhancing products used by military forces around the world.
