Korry Electronics of Seattle has won an AlliedSignal Government Electronic Systems contract to supply active-matrix liquid-crystal-display (AMLCD) backlights for US McDonnell Douglas AH-64D Apaches and Lockheed C-141 Starlifters. Korry's night-vision-compatible backlight is designed to illuminate AMLCDs uniformly, allowing them to be read from a wide viewing angle and in direct sunlight.
