Belgrade-based cargo start-up Kosmas Air (KMG) is preparing to launch services with an Ilyushin Il-76TD freighter. Funded by Russian private investors, the airline received its air operator's certificate at the end of May. The Il-76 is the first to be registered in Serbia and Montenegro (the former rump Yugoslavia), and is equipped with European JAR-compatible navigation and communication equipment to comply with the country's requirements.

Boeing chief executive David Calhoun thinks the company could have its 737 Max 7 and Max 10 certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration in the first half of 2025, while cautioning that the regulator will determine ultimate timing.
Boeing still aims by year-end to boost production to 38 737s and five 787s monthly, returning to output levels at which the company had said it was operating prior to this year’s production slowdown.
