Kuwait Airways has purchased three Gulfstream V ultra long range business jets to provide VIP transport and medical evacuation services for senior Kuwaiti Government officials. The order is valued at around $115 million, with the aircraft scheduled to be delivered by the end of 1999. The airline has previously purchased Gulfstream IIs, IIIs and IVs for the VIP transport mission.

Turkish business jet charter company Air Sapphire has been heavily fined by the US government for flying a Gulfstream GIV to Russia without authorisation.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
