L-3 Communications (Hall 4/E11) is celebrating production of its 50,000th flight recorder.
Charles Grouse, president of L-3 Communications, says: "We're proud to have reached this milestone and especially proud of the contributions our products have made to aviation safety." Grouse says the Smithsonian Institution is considering accepting the unit for display in the National Air and Space Museum.
