LanShe Aerospace has received its production certificate for the SP series of two-seat light aircraft. The company acquired the assets of type-certificate holder Micco Aircraft earlier this year, including completed aircraft and partially built airframes on the production line, and plans to deliver its first new-production SP26s next month.

Fort Pierce, Florida-based LanShe is aiming to produce one SP26 a month, and will build lower-power SP20s to order, says director of sales and marketing Keith Martinich. The company is also gearing up to produce one Lake amphibian a month at the same factory, with deliveries beginning late in the third quarter.

LanShe plans to sell the Lycoming-powered SP series through dealers, who will also service the aircraft, while Lake sales will be factory-direct, says Martinich. The SP20, an updated version of the Meyers 145 all-metal, tailwheel-equipped light aircraft, sells for $199,000 and the more-powerful SP26 for $256,000.
