Lufthansa Technik (LHT) is still interested in acquiring Swissair Group's maintenance arm, SR Technics - but chairman August Henningsen says that unless SR Technics can provide details on its operations, "the issue is closed".
He adds: "They want to sell and we are keen, but we could not deliver an offer because the data was incomplete."
This came as LHT announced a 14% increase in sales last year to €2.57 billion ($2.35 billion) and pre-tax profit up to €86 million from €36 million in 2000.
Half the sales for the completion, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist came from airlines in the Lufthansa Group. Of the rest, the largest market was the Middle East (21%). Only 10% came from North America, but the company plans strong organic growth in the USA this year.
