Launch Contract

PanAmSat has signed a "multi-launch contract" with Lockheed-Khrunichev-Energia International for Russian Proton flights "in late 1996", with the PAS 5 (Flight International, 20-27 December 1994). While this indicates a Proton commitment, Ariane flights of the PAS 4 and the PAS 3R replacement now seem more secure.
