French all-business start-up L'Avion - formerly dubbed Elysair - launched premium transatlantic operations between Paris Orly and New York Newark on 3 January. The airline is operating a winglet-equipped Boeing 757-200 configured in a 90-seat layout on six weekly frequencies. It is headed by former AOM-Air Liberte chief executive and chairman Marc Rochet.
