Raisbeck Engineering plans to complete its first ZR Lite performance-enhancement system installation on a Bombardier Learjet 31-series business jet in time for display at the National Business Aviation Association show in November. The modification was first certificated on the Learjet 35 in October last year, and is also planned for the larger Learjet 55 and 60.

Bombardier Aviation Services in Wichita, Kansas has delivered two ZR-equipped Learjet 35s to customers, and has more in the pipeline for modification by the end of the year, says Raisbeck. West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, Colorado will induct its first aircraft this week, and Galvin Flying Service in Seattle, Washington will deliver its second ZR-equipped Learjet in August.

Raisbeck says demand for the $94,500 modification kit is picking up as operators see the benefits, which include fuel savings of 5-10% and increased payload from hot and high airports.
