Bombardier’s first foray into the world of Formula 1 motor racing has turned to gold after the Canadian company named Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton as its new Learjet brand ambassador. No sooner had they signed on the dotted line with Hamilton than the 22-year-old British driver promptly won two grands prix in eight days…in Canada and the USA.
Paying a flying visit to Le Bourget yesterday, Hamilton said that he was “delighted” to be associated with such an iconic brand as Learjet while Bombardier Business Aircraft’s president, Gabriel Côté added: “His achievements have impressed the sporting world and he has tremendous potential to become a legend, just like the Learjet brand.”
