After a decade-long production hiatus, a new Let L-410 has been manufactured in the Czech Republic. Local company Aircraft Industries, which in June 2005 bought what was left of the bankrupt Letecké Závody, produced the unpressurised 19-seat high-wing turboprop for NHT Linhas Aereas of Brazil.
Aircraft Industries is due to complete a second aircraft for the same customer in the next month, and has preliminary orders for four more, says managing chairman Pavel Vach. He adds that the company aims to build eight to 10 L-410s next year.
The L-410 will still be marketed under its original Let brand name.
