Sikorsky yesterday signed a deal with Korean electronics giant LG International at Asian Aerospace to sell an S-76C++ for VIP transport.
LG, which has bought two previous versions of the S-76, will use the helicopter to transport its president. It will be delivered in 2007.
The C++ includes various engine, air vehicle, interior and avionics upgrades that pave the way for the launch of the new S-76D model in 2008.
Steve Estill, Sikorsky vice president for worldwide sales, said: “We look forward to delivering this aircraft to LG as a repeat S-76 customer.”
