Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has completed a Boeing Business Jet and an Airbus A319CJ cabin mock-up centre at its Hamburg base, in Germany. The company is a licensed completion centre for both types.
The full-sized fuselage models will be used to model cabin layouts for VIP customers with fittings constructed from remouldable foam. Also available is an extensive stock of sample surfacing materials.
LHT says the materials can be combined with the cabin layout to form a three-dimensional "virtual" mock-up, using computer software, allowing the customer to "stroll" through the aircraft. "Early in the design stage," says Lufthansa Technik, "the customer gains an accurate impression of what his aircraft's finished cabin interior will be like."
