Lufthansa Technik (LHT) is to provide maintenance support for the Airbus A310s and Boeing 737s operated by Russia’s Siberia Airlines. Under a five-year contract the German maintenance, repair and overhaul provider will supply components for the airline’s eight A310s at its Moscow and Novosibirsk hubs. LHT will also undertake airframe and engine component support of Siberia’s five 737s until 2012. St Petersburg-based Pulkovo Airlines has also signed a five-year support deal with LHT for its leased 737-500s. LHT has also signed its first contract for a VIP completion of a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) in Russia. The aircraft will be outfitted for a Russian company, delivered in mid-2006 and operated by Vizavi Aviation.
