Saudi Arabian start-up Sama is preparing to launch services following the recent granting of its air carrier licence by the country's civil aviation authority to operate domestic scheduled services. The airline's first two Boeing 737-300s have been delivered and two more are scheduled to arrive this month. Sama had been aiming to start services in 2006, but now says it hopes to begin operations during the first quarter. "Our priority is to serve as many cities in Saudi Arabia as we can with up to 35 aircraft over the next few years," says the airline.
