Sumitomo is showcasing its new lightweight landing gear in Hall 3, Stand B2.

More used to designing and developing landing gear components, this is the company¹s first venture into manufacturing a complete system from concept through to production and so has worked in partnership with Goodrich on the project, building on its knowledge from 40 years¹ work designing, developing and testing components. The new gear has been manufactured for the Bombardier CRJ700. The main and nose systems are smaller and lighter than others on the market to make them more compact when retracted. But by using ultra-high tensile 300M steel, titanium alloys and precision machining, the Japanese Sumitomo company has managed to maintain the strength and durability needed for reliability.
