Malaysian operator Weststar Aviation Services has signed a $150 million deal for 10 AgustaWestland helicopters, the Finmeccanica-owned company announced on 7 December.
The agreement includes five AW139s configured for offshore transport, one AW139 (below) for VIP transport, two AW169s and two AW189s.

AgustaWestland said the three types offer a great deal of commonality, for example by using a common cockpit layout and maintenance concepts.

The sale includes the first AW169s and AW189s to have been sold in Malaysia. AgustaWestland said deliveries of the AW189 (above) will start in 2014 and of the AW169 will start in 2015 under the deal.
