Litton Industries Guidance and Control Systems division will design and produce the guidance system for Lockheed Martin Vought Systems' guided multiple launch rocket system (GMLRS).

Litton says the deal with firm initial-production options is worth around $100 million and estimates the full production potential, based on the US Army's plan to procure more than 80,000 GMLRS rockets, to be around $1billion.

The GMLRS will be the newest rocket in the family of munitions fired by the US Army's M270-based mobile rocket system.

Litton Industries Life Support division is to supply its onboard oxygen generating systems (OBOGS) for 11 Belgian Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft, it announced at the show.

The system for the Belgian C-130 Hercules is a modification of the US Air Force F-15 Eagle OBOGS. The on-board oxygen concentrators will also provide the capability to recharge portable oxygen cylinders aboard the aircraft.

The system, which will begin flight testing in November, enhances crew safety by eliminating highly-flammable liquid oxygen systems.
