Loadmaster tests

Light Helicopter Turbine Engine (LHTEC) has successfully completed the first series of engine tests on its CTP800-4T turboprop propulsion system for the Ayres Loadmaster. The joint AlliedSignal/Rolls-Royce engine, rated at 2,000kW (2,700shp) has completed 40h of testing, during which it reached a maximum power setting of 1,000kW. Clearance for full power tests is due this month after evaluations of the Hamilton Standard 568 propeller.
