More than 100 Lockheed Martin engineers will visit schools in central New York next month to encourage students to study maths and science and consider engineering careers.

Following on from National Engineers Week in February, the engineers from Lockheed Martin's facility in Syracusewill attend events at more than 40 schools in the area over the next three months and will address more than 5,000 students.

"The goal of our Engineers Week visits is to leave students with a better understanding of the impact that engineering has on everyday life along with the many career paths it offers," says Dr Doug Reep, vice-president for technical operations at Syracuse.
