A Lockheed Martin Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) surface-to-air missile failed to launch during a US Army operational test on 25 April intended to simulate the simultaneous interception of two tactical ballistic missiles. One PAC-3 did launch, and successfully intercepted another Patriot missile acting as a target. An investigation is under way into why the second missile did not launch.
