Bombardier Flexjet Europe has launched a new long-haul programme in response to customer demand. Intercontinental service joins Premiere and Same Day Business in Bombardier's European charter brokerage programme.

Intercontinental - which will use the 4,000km- (2,600nm) range Learjet 60, 6,400km-range Challenger 604, and 11,000km- range Global Express - is available to destinations outside Europe.

Intercontinental uses the same "all exclusive" basis as the two other programmes, "tailored to European business aviation needs", says James Hoblyn, managing director of Flexjet Europe.

Intercontinental use costs €5,200 ($4,560) per hour, including all positioning costs. Hoblyn says customer interest has prompted the scheme's launch six months early.

Customers in Europe prefer a different mix of aircraft for different destinations, says Hoblyn. Flexjet had encountered difficulties selling aircraft shares before it reorganised its scheme in January.
