BMI British Midland has launched a low-cost airline, BMI Baby, based at its East Midlands base outside Derby, UK. BMI Baby will inherit two 148-seat Boeing 737-300s from its parent and fly to France, Portugal and Spain from 23 March. The carrier is seen as a response to rival Go's decision to use East Midlands as its third UK base.
