Lufthansa is adding new services from its second German hub at Munich to Dubai, Johannesburg and Miami from the beginning of the winter schedule. It is also relaunching its Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro route which was cut two years ago. It will operate five weekly services to Dubai, six weekly flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town, and a seven-times weekly service to Miami. Lufthansa will also drop its Munich-Boston and Munich-Montreal flights over the winter, although both cities will continue to be served from Frankfurt.
