Ground workers at German flag-carrier Lufthansa have narrowly voted to accept the terms of the negotiated settlement which ended a strike earlier this month.

The Verdi ground-workers' union says employees voted 51% in favour of the agreement, which includes a phased salary increase and bonus payments.

Lufthansa operations had suffered several days of disruption by catering, cargo, flight attendants and passenger services personnel before the deal. The carrier is also trying to resolve a separate dispute with pilots.
