Lufthansa's pilot-training division has commissed a new Airbus A330-200 full-flight simulator at its Berlin Schonefeld facility.
The simulator, from Canadian manufacturer CAE, was delivered to the centre in July this year and has undergone testing with Air Berlin pilots. Germany's civil aviation regulator, LBA, approved the simulator in October.
Lufthansa Flight Training will operate the device, commissioned on 1 November, and the company says Air Berlin will "take up a large part of the capacity".
It offers 13 cockpit simulators at the Berlin centre.
