Lufthansa has moved to bolster its position in the Italian market through a tie-up with Rome-based Air One. The German flag-carrier will codeshare on all flights of privately-owned Air One, which serves 15 Italian cities including Rome, Milan, Turin, Venice, Naples, Catania and Bari with 13 Boeing 737s. The Italian airline will also place its codes on all Lufthansa flights to Rome, and join Lufthansa's frequent-flyer programme. The pair plan to "develop joint marketing activities".
