Lufthansa has secured a deal with pilots that will slash around €30 ($40 million) from its 2005 cost base. The agreement will see pilots fly an extra 2h a month, a pay freeze until March 2006, and changes to salary scales. The carrier has also sealed a new productivity related pay deal with its ground staff.
