Maintenance firm Lufthansa Technik's logistics division is to manage spares distribution centres for the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft.
Superjet International, the affiliated marketing and support company for the type, has selected Lufthansa Technik Logistik as the exclusive worldwide logistics provider.
It states that Superjet International's order-management system will be integrated with the information technology platform of the German firm, and Superjet customers will have a dedicated aircraft-on-ground support desk.
"This is the beginning of a long-lasting partnership which will grant the best level of service for our valuable customers around the globe," says Superjet International chief Alessandro Franzoni.
Customers will be able to take advantage of real-time parts trackign and online access to technical documentation.
Lufthansa Technik Logistik managing director Soren Stark says the agreement will allow Superjet International to "guarantee first-class material supply".
