Lufthansa has opened up a new first class lounge in its Munich hub. First class and Hon Circle customers can now access the facility directly from the departure levels as well as bypassing usual passport and security checks, which are now offered in the lounge. Both inbound and outbound passengers can take advantage of the new system.
The airline has set up the service partly as an attempt to claw back premium customers who have opted to use private charter companies. However, it has seen a rise in the number of first class passengers booking tickets. “We are confident that are new service will continue to boost this trend,” said Thomas Kluehr, group representative and head of hub management,
