Bellevue, Washington-based Luma Technologies has received long-awaited parts manufacturer approval (PMA) certification from the FAA for its Lumatech LED caution and warning panels for King Air aircraft.
The two-panel setup can be installed on the King Air 200, 300, 350, 350i and 1900D aircraft. The system has already been installed on 10 aircraft, says Bruce Maxwell, Luma Technologies president. He says installations only take three hours or less with no flight testing required. Luma intends to provide Lumatech for the Cessna Citation 525/CJ family, the Cessna Caravan and older Falcon models.
The component can be configured with Hawker Beechcraft classic and Pro Line 21 flight deck configurations, as well as the Garmin G1000 avionics suite.
