Australia-based airports investment group Macquarie Airports (MAp) recorded strong growth in net profit in the first half to June as demand increased at its key airports and it agreed to sell its stakes in Birmingham and Rome airports. It has meanwhile agreed to increase its stake in Brussels Airport. MAp says in an Australian stock exchange filing that net profit increased to $791m from $166.5m in the same period last year.
