Hawaiian regional Mahalo Air has ceased operations after it reportedly missed an insurance payment. It is understood that the airline will require some $1.5 million to relaunch services, and it is in negotiation with potential investors. Mahalo, which operated seven Aero International (Regional) ATR 42s, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July.
