Maiden flight for Sukhoi S-80 turboprop

The first Sukhoi S-80 regional turboprop prototype performed its maiden flight on 4 September. The flight lasted 26min and all systems, including the General Electric CT-7-9Bs, functioned normally, says Sukhoi chief designer Gennady Litvinov. Testing was set to resume on 7 September with up to 100 assessment flights planned, says Sukhoi.
